Leaving day and time to pack up and fly back to Dallas and pick up the fabled RV. Very smooth flight, and Ray picked us up in a huge black limo all dressed in a jet black suit whie shirt, black tie and mirror shades.

The sun shone from a clear blue sky and after a wait at Happy Trails RV Rental and an hours induction into the multiple systems, we set off with Miles at the controls to Emily's Grans. After a cople of hours driving we found a Walmart and stocked the rv with food and drinks and parked up in a remote corner of the car park for the night. It was full moon and got cold quickly but we were tired and soon got to sleep but were soon woken again by the sound of train horns which carried on at intervals through the night very annoyingly.
Tuesday 7th.February
Deep in the heart of the backwoods of Texas, down dirt roads we found her tumbledown shack which was surrounded with wrecked cars tractors, and old farm machinery. She was charming and had lunch ready for us consisting of a large slab of roasted beef, very watery boiled spuds and what she called biscuites which were more like scones. After this there was blueberry cake and washed down with iced tea. After we were introduced, she said she would just call us Iggy and Ike, I was Ike.
As we arrived her favorite cow, Princess Diana, was giving birth and having trouble. She thought that we were upsetting the cow so were advised to follow her to another place where she kept dogs and had a painting studio abou 5 miles away. This too was surrounded with junk and buildings full of junk, but so peaceful and wooded with small lakes. Scotty and I roamed around the farm for a couple of hours as Miles snoozed. Late afternoon we set off on the road to Texarkana and found the Wallmart to park up and enjoyed a better nights sleep away from trains.
